Spellbinders | November’21 Club Kits of the Month Cards

Hello, friends! I couldn’t resist sharing a few cards I created with the new Noveber’21 Club Kits of the Month from Spellbinders. This month is all about stitching and coordination. All main Clubs coordinate, they are designed to create borders/edges for cards and each Club completes the other.

SPELLBINDERS CLUBS

The Spellbinders Club is a subscription program. There are 7 different Clubs to choose from, including several Value Club options, with the Total Package Club being the best value and including ALL 7 Clubs. There is no minimum commitment, one can join and cancel any time. Club members get an additional 10% off all Spellbinders products. The Card Kit is not available this month due to the product being late.

SMALL DIE OF THE MONTH

My favorite is the Small Die of the Month as it features beautiful die-cut ornaments. Here, I cut ornaments from gold glitter cardstock and foam mounted them on a dark green cardstock panel. I added a foiled sentiment and embellished the ornaments with die-cut poinsettias (these come from the Large Die of the Month). Ornaments can be stitched, but I opted to leave mine free from stitching.

Ornaments are not the only dies included in the Small Die of the Month set. You also have a stunning border, again, designed to be stitched, but can be left unstitched. I added the ornament toppers cut from Mirror Gold cardstock over each of the little die-cut circles to fake a border of cute ornaments for this card. Sentiment was foiled in Matte Gold foil and comes from the Essential Christmas Greetings set.

LARGE DIE OF THE MONTH

Next up is the Large Die of the Month with beautiful curvy borders designed to work on Slimline and A2 cards (and other card sizes, too). One of the borders features stunning holiday greenery, you also have additional die-cut pieces to dress the border up in different colors – the poinsettia in 2 sizes, the holly leaves, the berries, the 5-petal flowers in 2 sizes, and the pine branches.

I didn’t want to create a Slimline card, so I used these borders on the A2 projects instead.

This next card combines the Large Die of the Month with a foiled sentiment from the Glimmer Kit of the Month. The foiled “Merry Chrismas” sentiment follows the curve of the border perfectly.

GLIMMER HOT FOIL KIT OF THE MONTH

I also wanted to mention the Glimmer Hot Foil Kit of the Month. If you get the curved borders from the 2 previous kits, and if you have the hot foil machine, the Glimmer Kit is a must-have addition. Here I used the loopy border from both kits side by side – there’s a die-cut border and a foiled and die-cut border placed above it.

There are several foiled border designs in the Glimmer Kit, I used all of them on the card below. I shifted and offset them to create a slightly different design.
