Hello, crafty friends! Today is an incredibly exciting day because I finally get to introduce my newest collection with Spellbinders – Yana’s Christmas Cats!
This collection is available on July 10th. If you are a Spellbinders Club Member you get early access to this collection today.
If you’ve been following me for a while, you probably know that I adopted two adorable orange kittens last summer. Ever since they came into my life, they’ve been a constant source of inspiration (and entertainment!). They keep me company in my craft room, supervise every project, and somehow always manage to find the Christmas tree before I do.
This collection is inspired entirely by their playful personalities and all of the funny little moments they create every single day. If you’d love to “meet” my kitties, you can do so on Instagram – I have 2 highlights (Kittens and Kittens 2.0) with their photos and videos.
Whether your cat climbs the Christmas tree, steals ornaments, naps in gift bags, or simply watches the world from the windowsill, I think you’ll recognize a little bit of your furry friend in these designs.

YANA’S CHRISTMAS CATS DIE SET
The heart of this release is, of course, the Christmas Cats die set. This set lets you create four playful cats, each with layered pieces so you can easily customize their markings. Cut them from different colors of cardstock to create tabbies, tuxedo cats, black cats, orange cats, or even recreate your own furry companions.
One of my favorite little details is the broken ornament included in the set. It perfectly captures that “I’m definitely innocent…” expression every cat owner knows so well!
CHRISTMAS CATS ACCESSORIES
No mischievous cat is complete without accessories! The Christmas Cats Accessories die set includes everything you need to build festive scenes: Christmas tree, sweater, Santa hats, wrapped presents, bows, Christmas lights.
The tree can stand upright or be on its side after an energetic kitty decides to climb it. Sound familiar?
Mine certainly approve of this design choice! I also love that many of these pieces work beyond cat cards. The presents, bows, lights, and tree are wonderful additions to all kinds of holiday projects.
CHRISTMAS CATS WINDOW VIEW
Cats spend countless hours looking out the window, so I knew this collection had to include one.
The Christmas Cats Window View die creates a beautiful oversized arched window inspired by the windows in my own apartment. It can become the focal point of an A2 card, allowing you to build cozy indoor scenes or reverse the perspective and create a view looking inside.
The coordinating curtain, curtain rod, and curtain tie make it easy to create warm, homey Christmas scenes, and they’re just begging to be cut from patterned paper!
MEOWY CHRISTMAS SENTIMENTS
No collection would be complete without sentiments! The Meowy Christmas Sentiments BetterPress plates and coordinating dies feature festive greetings in my signature font style, perfectly coordinating with my previous collections.
Because they’re BetterPress plates, you can also hot foil them using the Glimmer System, giving you even more creative possibilities.
TWO NEW EMBOSSING FOLDERS
I’m also thrilled to introduce two new embossing folders. The first is Ornate Molded Frame, inspired by the overwhelming love you’ve shown my original Molded Frame embossing folder, the folder that many of you voted Best Embossing Folder of the Year!
This new version keeps the beautiful decorative border while leaving the center open, making it perfect for large sentiments, focal images, and layered designs.
The second folder is Herringbone Decor, inspired by the beautiful flooring in my apartment. I wanted to create an elegant background that could become the floor in cozy indoor scenes featuring our mischievous Christmas cats.
A little ink blending over the embossed pattern instantly brings it to life.
CREATED BY A CAT LOVER FOR CAT LOVERS
As I designed this collection, I kept thinking about all the funny little things cats do during the holidays. Sleeping under the Christmas tree. Playing with ornaments. Getting tangled in lights. Watching birds through the window. Taking over every gift bag they can find.
