Simon Says Stamp | Kindness & Support Card with Glimmer Paste

Hello, friends! I recently received some new-to-me products from Tonic Studios and couldn’t wait to dive in and play for a bit. One of the products that immediately caught my eye was the new Nuvo Glimmer Paste in color Esmeralda Green. It’s like the perfect color for me – a mix of blue and green with a generous touch of glitter.

CARD DETAILS

The card I made was rather simple, yet it packs a punch due to all the shimmer from the Glimmer paste. Using the Faceted Stripes stencil I applied a thin layer of paste onto Hero Arts Adriatic cardstock. I left the background to dry overnight and adhered it to an A2 white card base the next morning.

To create a sentiment, I gold heat embossed “Thank You For Your Kindness & Support” on white and cut it out using scissors. This stamp set is meant to be used with a coordinating die which allows to cut the sentiments out quickly, but I don’t have the die so I cut mine out with the help of scissors. I foam mounted sentiment on the background and embellished the card using a couple of Star Spangled sequins.

Have so far resisted the temptation to invest in glimmer paste, but examples like this one make it really hard!!!! Very pretty!!

I think you are such an excellent designer. I pin almost every one of your designs! I was wondering if you know what the weight is of the Hero Hues Premium Cardstock? I just looked at their colors and they are beautiful!

thank you, Amy! I’m so glad you like my projects. I don’t know the exact weight of the cardstock, but it’s on the heavier side, probably 110lb. I love it for how thick it is.
