Simon Says Stamp | December 2019 Card Kit – 3 Card Ideas

Hello, friends! Today I have 3 card ideas to share featuring Simon Says Stamp December 2019 card kit. I love the colors and imagery included in this kit and had a lot of fun making these easy Christmas cards.

CARDS DETAILS

I didn’t do much stamping for these cards (aside from the stamped sentiment and gifts) and opted to use patterned papers for the most part. I picked the papers with large journaling cards, cut them out (in some cases trimmed them to a smaller size) and mounted on either silver or red cardstock.

Next, I picked pretty patterns for the backgrounds, also trimmed them to about 4 x 5 1/4″ and added a red cardstock mat before adhering to A2 white card bases. I wanted to add a bit of extra something to each of these cards so I used Nuvo Drops in Morning Dew from my stash for the card above to add dimensional effects to the lights and to the nose of the reindeer.

The other two cards were adorned using stamped and cut out gifts. I stamped these images onto scrap pieces of patterned paper, cut out using scissors and foam mounted onto the cards. I also use a white Sakura pen and colored several sections white.

I wanted to create a feeling of falling snow, so I added a lot of white snow dots onto the journaling cards using my Sakura pen on both the gnome card and Dec 25 card.

Lastly, I used sequins from the Star Spangled mix to dress up these cards.
