The Birthday challenge over at the Hero Arts blog got me thinking about different party decor ideas. And since I recently discovered a new fun color combination I decided to go with an orange theme.
Nothing fancy, just a little card or an invitation, a cupcake topper (or in my case an orange topper) and a little floral banner.
The birthday card is a very simple one, I used my favorite Go Out and Play stamp and paired it with a striped background I showed recently in one of my videos. The sentiment is heat embossed with white embossing powder from Stampendous and placed on top of white cardstock stamped with flowers. I used a Six Petal Flower stamp and a first, second and third generation stamping technique to create top and bottom floral corners.
As for the garland – I stamped and fussy cut a couple of flowers and threaded them on orange twine, I also added a few rosettes, tags and chipboard pieces.
