Hello friends! Today I’m excited to join Spellbinders in celebrating their 23rd birthday! To help mark the occasion, I created three fun birthday cards featuring products from the Age to Perfection collection along with a few other Spellbinders favorites.
I don’t know about you, but I never seem to have enough birthday cards in my stash. Whenever I have a chance to create one, I jump at the opportunity. For these projects, I wanted to step away from traditional floral birthday cards and instead create something playful, unexpected, and a little bit snarky.

CARD DETAILS
My first card features balloon letters spelling “HBD” along with a humorous sentiment that reads, “How old are we telling people you are now?” I combined products from several Spellbinders collections, including the Age to Perfection collection and the Happier Hour collection.
To add movement and interest, I incorporated colorful party streamers and a bird holding a balloon.
For my second card, I created a playful pizza-themed design featuring the sentiment, “Happy Birthday! Leave Nothing But Crumbs.” I love creating patterned card designs, and this project was the perfect opportunity to repeat a simple die-cut image to create an eye-catching background.
The pizza slices come from the Chompster die set, and I paired them with small die-cut olives, mushrooms, and greenery from the Bon Appétit collection. A few black gems help complete the design and fill the background.
My final card might be the funniest of the bunch. It features the Dancing Chatterbox die set, complete with oversized googly eyes and a swinging kinetic mechanism. The Dancing Die collection is designed to move from side to side, creating an interactive element that always brings a smile.
I paired the die-cut character with one of the humorous sentiments from the Age to Perfection stamp set. This collection is packed with witty birthday greetings that are perfect for recipients who appreciate a good laugh.
One thing I love about this release is that it offers a refreshing alternative to traditional birthday cards. The products are playful, versatile, and designed to create cards that are guaranteed to spark a smile.
Overall, these cards were so much fun to create and reminded me that birthday cards don’t always have to be serious or elegant. Sometimes a little humor is exactly what makes a handmade card memorable.
