Hello friends! Christmas crafting officially begins today! I’m excited to take a closer look at the brand-new Dear Santa Cardmaking Kit from Spellbinders. In this video, I’m unboxing the kit, sharing everything included, and taking a peek at the coordinating à la carte products available separately.
If you’ve been following me for a while, you probably know that I have a soft spot for Christmas card kits. I have talked about Spellbinders’ Christmas Kits in the past.
Merry Moments Card Kit in 2025; Handmade Holidays Kit in 2024; Make is Merry Kit in 2023; Santa Lane Kit in 2022.
Even though I usually prefer creating my own designs from scratch, there’s something about a well-designed holiday kit that I can’t resist. They’re perfect for creating beautiful Christmas cards quickly while still leaving plenty of room to add your own creative touches.

KIT DETAILS
The Dear Santa release includes both the Cardmaking Kit and a collection of coordinating products that can be purchased individually. Before opening the kit itself, I took a look at several of those à la carte items, and there are some wonderful additions for anyone who enjoys holiday crafting.
One of my favorites is the 12″ x 12″ patterned paper pack. It includes twenty festive designs with several gorgeous foiled patterns featuring ribbons, Christmas crackers, poinsettias, cardinals, gingham prints, and classic holiday motifs. The papers are printed on a heavyweight cardstock, making them suitable not only for cardmaking but also for scrapbook layouts, mini albums, and even wrapping small gifts.
Another standout is the coordinating washi tape. With eleven different holiday designs, it’s perfect for decorating envelopes, sealing gift wrap, embellishing journals, or adding quick accents to handmade cards.

Spellbinders also introduced several dimensional acetate embellishments in this collection, including ornaments, birds, Christmas trees, and poinsettias. These layered stickers add beautiful dimension with virtually no effort and would look wonderful on cards, scrapbook pages, and December Daily albums.
Inside the Dear Santa Cardmaking Kit, you’ll find everything needed to start creating right away. The kit includes textured A2 card bases and coordinating envelopes, adhesive, foam squares, cardstock, a 6″ x 6″ patterned paper pad, hundreds of die-cut ephemera pieces, chipboard stickers, puffy stickers, self-adhesive frames, gems, and more.
One thing I especially appreciate is that the kit is beginner-friendly. With just a pair of scissors or a paper trimmer, someone new to cardmaking can start creating immediately. At the same time, experienced crafters can easily customize the contents by incorporating dies, stamps, embossing folders, and other favorite supplies from their stash.
The included ephemera is packed with festive imagery and sentiments, many accented with beautiful gold foiling. Combined with the coordinating patterned papers, it makes creating polished holiday cards incredibly quick and enjoyable.
I also love that Spellbinders included both mirror gold and mirror silver cardstock, along with a wonderful assortment of coordinating cardstock colors. Everything works together beautifully, making it easy to mix and match elements throughout the kit.
If you’re someone who enjoys batch-making Christmas cards, documenting holiday memories, or simply wants a stress-free way to create handmade cards this season, I think you’ll really enjoy what this kit has to offer.
I’m already looking forward to creating projects with these supplies, and I’ll be back soon with another video sharing several finished cards made using the Dear Santa Cardmaking Kit.
