Hello everyone and thanks so much for stopping by to help celebrate the launch of Hero Arts June My Monthly Hero Kit.
The safari theme of this month kit completely stole my heart. I love all things tropical and there are many companies who have tropical products, but none (that I’ve seen) have a safari theme. I was very much excited to play with the kit as well as the add ons and I made quite a few projects. I am sharing one card in this post and will share additional projects I made later this month.

CARD DETAILS
I started working on this card by stamping the new Tribal Stripes background in Butter Bar ink onto A2 top folding card base. I used my MISTI and stamped this image several images for perfect coverage. I love the design of this background and I think it’s going to be one of my most used stamps; I think it could work really well not just for tropical, but for everyday projects also.
Next, I used a tree image from the main kit and stamped it in several shades of green, I used Forever Green, Moss and Field Greens. I also stamped and die-cut several large animals – a giraffe (he is hidden amongst the trees) was stamped in Caramel; an elephant was stamped in Soft Granite and hippo was stamped first in Soft Olive and next in Charcoal for a green undertone.
I arranged all of my images on my card base and created a scene. I also heat embossed “Huge Thanks” sentiment from the main kit in white embossing powder onto black cardstock and foam mounted it onto my card.
To add a bit more black to my card I added simple bird silhouette stamping in the background above the trees.
