Altenew November Release Blog Hop + Giveaway
Hello everyone and happy Friday! This particular Friday is indeed a very happy one as we are celebrating the new Altenew release and its another truly gorgeous!
Altenew introduced not only 10 new stamp sets (one of which is in Korean), but also 6 new specialty papers! Here’s a little photo of the new papers:
I was very busy during the past couple of weeks working on the upcoming Die Cutting Techniques Class so I only made one project to share today (fingers crossed I’ll make a few more by the end of the day in time to include in this blog post).
I used a Beautiful Day 6×8 stamp set to stamp the floral background, this is a stamp layering set and no coloring mediums were used here, just 4 shades of Altenew Crisp inks in Purple (soft lilac, lavender fields, midnight violet, deep iris). Sentiment came from the same stamp set.
I did manage to make one more project using new papers – I used Birch Wood for stamping the sentiment from the new Thinking of You set and heat embossing the flowers from the Wild Hibiscus stamp set; used Woodgrain Bark and also Gold Mirror.
The Birch Wood doesn’t work well for stamping (as no wood surface ever is), but its fabulous for die cutting and heat embossing. Really makes your projects pop.
Blog Hop
If you arrived from Nicole Picadura, the next stop on our hop is Svitlana Shayevich. If you get lost or encounter a broken link, please start at the beginning at Altenew blog.
