Hello friends, and welcome back! Today I’m sharing a closer look at the Spellbinders Club Kits along with a few cards I created using the May kits – and a little sneak peek of something new coming very soon.

If you’ve ever been curious about the Spellbinders Clubs, this is a great month to take a look. There’s truly something for everyone, and this release has a very fun, summery feel that instantly sparked ideas for me.

DETAILS

One of my favorite sets this month is the Large Die of the Month. It features a fun soda can design with lots of little elements you can mix and match – fruit slices, straws, umbrellas, and even a sweet little bird. It’s one of those sets that keeps giving the more you play with it.

For my first card (above), I created a bright, summery background using the May 2026 3D embossing folder. I embossed yellow cardstock and added a bit of ink blending to create a soft gradient. Then I built my focal point using the soda can and layered embellishments like citrus slices, greenery, and a tiny umbrella. I finished the card with a sentiment from the Clear Stamp & Die of the Month set, which includes a great mix of seasonal greetings.

Next, I made a cleaner and more graphic card with a color-blocked background. I kept the design minimal and let the soda cans take center stage, coordinating their colors with the background panels. Instead of using the included sentiments, I added a foiled “Happy Birthday” greeting – because I can never have too many birthday cards on hand.

My third card is probably my favorite because it’s interactive. I created a pool-inspired background using the May 2026 2D embossing folder and built a scene around it. Then I added lights using Pear Blossom Press Easy Lights to mimic glowing pool water. When you press the card, the lights turn on – it’s such a fun surprise element and really elevates the design.

If you’ve never tried adding lights to your cards, this is a great technique to experiment with. It’s easier than it looks and makes a big impact.

A LOOK AT THE CLUBS

One of the things I love most about the Spellbinders Club Kits is the variety. Each month includes multiple options – dies, stamps, BetterPress plates, embossing folders, stencils, and you can subscribe to just one or go all in with the All Clubs Crate membership.

There’s also an added perk: club members get early access to new releases, which is always exciting. Speaking of new releases, I shared a little sneak peek in my video of my upcoming Everyday City Holiday collection.

These sets are designed to work together so you can build charming city scenes with windows, flowers, and architectural details. While working on my light-up card, I couldn’t help but think how fun it would be to add lights behind the windows in this collection. Imagine glowing windows on a card – it’s definitely on my to-make list.

As always, thank you so much for spending time with me today. I hope this inspires you to get creative and try something new.
