Simon Says Stamp | Peace On Earth Shimmer Christmas Card

Happy Thursday, friends! We are getting closer and closer to the Holiday Seasons and I couldn’t be happier – I love Christmas, I love all the busy preparations, the decor, the smell of cooking and, of course, Christmas cardmaking. Today I have a Christmas card to share created using a few products from Simon Says Stamp.

CARD DETAILS

White, kraft and gold make a timeless color combination, especially for Christmas cards & decor. To create this card I masked 1/4″ border on a 4 1/4 x 5 1/2″ panel using washi tape. Next, using my MISTI stamping tool I stamped the Winter Floral Mix background in clear embossing ink, covered with White Embossing Powder, removed washi tape and heat set the powder to melt.

The Winter Mix Background is a stunning background stamp. The illustration style of the flowers is simply gorgeous. Simon also has a stamp set with individual florals, Winter Flowers, and I have used it many times in the past, here are some cards from my blog archive for your inspiration (click image to go to the post):

I wanted to add some simple coloring to my background so I used shimmer pens from Tonic Studios in Clear and Gold to color both flowers and leaves. I added a generous amount of shimmer and let it dry before adhering the card to A2 white card base.

To create a sentiment for this card I heat embossed “Peace On Earth” in Antique Gold embossing powder on a piece of white cardstock, cut it into a banner and backed it with gold glitter paper. I foam mounted the sentiment panel in the center of the card and embellished it with sequins from the Stay Gold and Birthday Cake.
