Simon Says Stamp | Pattern Stamping with Masking Paper. Take 3
Do you ever have projects you start, but keep putting aside and never finish? This card has almost turned into a project like that. I stamped the background for it, even started coloring it, but kept putting it aside as other things were getting in the way. Finally, I finished it this morning. And I love the result!

CARD DETAILS
Similar to this card, this card and this card I used masking paper and clear stamps to create this background. I had already many of the needed masks for the Spring Flowers 4 set from Simon Says Stamp done, so I just stamped a few additional and cut them out using my Tonic Studios Spring Cut scissors.
I stamped images, masked the, and repeated until I had the entire background covered with pretty blooms and leaves. Masking is a fantastic technique that allows you to create any kind of background you can imagine. I am oftentimes too lazy when it comes to masking, but I am glad I took the time on this card.
I stamped images with Simon’s Intense Black ink and colored them using my Copic markers. I used the following colors:
With the coloring complete (that is what took me the longest, I kept putting it aside day after day), I foiled a triple dot border using Spellbinders Essential Rectangles plates. I used gold foil. Gold and purple look stunning together. I cut the panel out using a rectangle die and foam mounted on an A2 white side folding card base.
Next, I stamped the “Long Distance Hug” sentiment in Simon’s Deep Purple ink. I foiled a circle dot border and cut the sentiment out using a circle die. Foam adhesive squares were used to foam mount it onto the card.
Lastly, I embellished this card using Metallic Rose Gold jewels from Pretty Pink Posh, I added a jewel to flower centers.
Have fun stamping!
