CARD DETAILS

I started working on my project by heat embossing Carolers from Simon’s Carol Singers stamp set in Clear embossing powder over Versafine Black stamped outline onto Arches Hot Pressed watercolor paper. I used my favorite watercolor colors and quickly colors them (I used: Pyrrol Red, Olive Green, Sodalite Genuine, Transparent Brown). Once my coloring was dry I cut images out using coordinating dies.

To create a background for my card I used stencils from the Frozen Fractals set and blended Tumbled Glass as well as a bit of Peacock Feathers Distress ink over them. I trimmed ink blended panel to 4 x 5 1/4″ and foam mounted onto the card. I also foam mounted my carol singers.

To create a sentiment I used a new Fa La La stamp set and coordinating die. I stamped Fa La La in Lipstick Red ink, cut out using coordinating die and foam mounted onto the card. I also heat embossed “Making Spirits Bright” in white embossing powder onto black cardstock. Lastly, I used confetti in red and gold from the Rainbow Confetti Mix to embellish this card.

    1. Your card is so cute! As for the second card, I have no idea how I missed it yesterday, but it’s absolutely gorgeous!

    1. I love every card that you make, and I get excited when I see a new blog post from you. Thanks so much for sharing your talent with all of us. There are so many things that I want from this release. I’m going to have to save my pennies.

    1. Such a cute card! I love the FA LA LA die and your watercoloring is great! I’ve already ordered your Daniel Smith swatch to try some of these colors.

    1. What a sweet holiday card!
I love the bright water coloring.
I will need to get your Daniel Smith
      water color palette 🙂

    1. Hi Yana ~ Your card is beautifully watercolored, as always, and I love the softness of the blended background you’ve created. I always think it’s fun using non-traditional colors for a Christmas card and the one you’ve done with the indigo blue is a completely stunning card. Thanks for continuing to inspire me and I hope you have a fabulous weekend. ~HUGS~

    1. I like the ‘falalala’ card—really fun, but the “extra” card is totally stunning. That gold with the darker blues is just simply gorgeous and so rich-looking. Thank you so much. (Oh, yes, and I really like your palette! I got a dot card in a card kit and find myself hoarding it–silly, right! One of these days I might break down and buy a basic set.) Thanks again.

    1. Always love your cards. You make water coloring look easy. I also think the stenciled background adds so much.

    1. I love this charming scene card. Your card yesterday was stunning. Thank you for such inspiration. I look forward to all your posts!

    1. I can hear your carolers singing! Sweet card and love the coloring. Thank you for the inspiration!

    1. Wow, this card is both stunning and beautiful. I’d stare at it all day, lol.. Truth

    1. really cute carolers. Love the card-that soft stencilled background is just the right touch ! Your second card is beautiful.

    1. Love your carolers! They are so vibrant. May have to take a look at those watercolors. You give great inspiration!

    1. I like the subtle snowflake background for the carol singers. They are so cute. And I really enjoyed your watercoloring video. You really do beautiful work.

    1. The bear OMG I love it and the stencil the blues are so winter sky absolutely gorgeous

    1. Love the background on the falala card, and the unconventional blue Christmas background card is absolutely gorgeous! Thanks.

    1. I love how you used the light stencils for the background of your carolers! Your other card was absolutely gorgeous with those blues! It is a fantastic holiday card using the stained glass words for sentiments. Well done.

    1. The card is beautiful. And I love yesterday’s with the indigo background too!

    1. Nice colours on the fa la la card. I also like the soft colours in the background.

    1. The carolers are adorable & colored so well but I really think it’s the subtle frozen fractals background that makes the card. So excited to see your palette, I bought Shari & Debby’s (after eying Daniel Smith’s watercolors for a year) and it is so much fun 😀

    1. Cute little critters! I also like the script of the sentiment die and the large size.
