Lets take a look?

I am very much inspired by non-traditional Christmas colors lately, and aqua being one of my favorites colors made its way onto this simple Christmas card.
I used my regular size MISTI and stamped the Holiday background in Simon’s embossing ink onto a panel of white cardstock. I added white embossing powder and heat set it to melt. I used two colors of Simon’s dye ink to add color and did a resist ink blending technique. I started with High Dive at the bottom and Spring Rain at the top. I’m not going to lie, this background was heavily inspired by Laura Bassen.
I am also in love with the new Poinsettia stamp set. They are like snowflakes, you can never have too many! I stamped it in Simon’s Intense Black ink onto X-press It Copic Blending paper and colored using several Copic markers. There are coordinating dies available and I used them to cut my images out.
I foam mounted the poinsettia and the leaves onto the ink blended panel which I had previously adhered onto an A2 top folding card base.
I didn’t want to add any additional sentiment as the background says it all. I did however add a few small and medium clear droplets from Pretty Pink Posh as little dew drops to finish this card.

October 24, 2016I really really really love the look of the masculine card with the deer and the “wood” background. That background stamp can be quite versatile. I also love how you “pose” your cards with all the accessories. I would love a tutorial on that. The Holiday background stamp is very useful and great white heat embossed with the blue.
Jennifer Coughran
October 24, 2016What a pretty card..love the background!
Gail Plaskiewicz
October 24, 2016I love how you did the card with the moose and the pieces of wood. They look so real with all the rings and everything. I’ve never thought of doing a masculine Christmas card but it’s certainly a thought. My nephew loves penguins so this wouldn’t be for him. I love the Aqua on your Christmas card with the poinsettia. That is a non Christmas color and I’ve found that I like some non Christmas colors too. Don’t get me wrong, I love silver and gold and red and green but sometimes I like something different. This was different.
Angela Linton
