I am very excited to see new goodies come to Pretty Pink Posh store – I’m loving their stamps, dies and sequin mixes! Today I’m sharing a card with an adorable Camping Friends stamp set and Stitched Hexagons die from the new release as well as Gold Star Confetti.

CARD DETAILS
I knew I wanted to create a little watercolor galaxy or night sky behind my little camping scene, so that’s where I started working on my card. I first heat embossed the moon and little solid stars in white embossing powder onto watercolor paper. Next I used several colors of Distress inks (I’m listing all colors below) and a water brush and added color around my images. I also added drops of water using Distress Sprayer and a bit of shimmer using Distress Mica Spray (unfortunately that shimmer doesn’t show on the photo).
I wanted to have more than just heat embossed stars so this is when I got the idea to turn this into a shaker. I die cut a hexagon-shaped opening in brown woodgrain cardstock panel, adhered a layer of clear acetate and used fun foam instead of regular foam adhesive to pop this panel up and create shaker walls. I wish I’d had fun foam in black, but the closest color I could find that would match to my watercolor sky was purple, so I used purple, you can spot a bit of purple on a few of the close up photos.
To fill the shaker I went with Gold Star Confetti to make it look like I had a bunch of falling stars on my card. The shaker window is rather large and I used about 1/3 of a pack of sequins to fill it so there’s quite lot of stars in there.
I also used Camping Friends stamp set to create a little scene for this project. I stamped several images in VersaFine Onyx Black ink onto watercolor paper, colored them with Distress ink and cut out using matching dies. I think this is a really fun stamp set especially for late Summer / early Fall. I used quite a bit of foam adhesive to foam mount these images and pop them up on my card (I love to have a lot of dimension on my projects).
Here’s a photo showing just how many stars I have in that shaker – enough to cover entire sky and wish for just about anything in life!

The brown wood grain paper is from Simon Says Stamp, I bought it a few years ago, but I see they don’t carry it anymore, only white. Altenew, I think, has brown wood grain, but much darker brown. There’s always white wood grain, too. Both Simon and Altenew have it, and you can ink it up with a light brown if you’d like to have that specific color.
