Pretty Pink Posh | Coloring with Stencils | Blog Hop + Giveaway | Video
Hello, crafters! Today’s video is all about ink blending as a way to color stamped images. I have 3 cards to share all colored using inks and stencils.
Pretty Pink Posh recently came out with a clever new product – stencils that match previously released stamp sets. To me, that is simply genius as that allows to easily add color to a stamped image using ink blending. You don’t have to know how to color, you can just blend the ink instead.

CARD DETAILS
The new matching stencil, Hibiscus Flower, is a 2 set stencil, and it is a layering one – it has 3 layers for each flower. The stencil coordinates perfectly with the stamps in the Hibiscus stamp set, and coordinating dies. So you have 3 products that work perfectly well together – a stamp to stamp the outline, a die to cut the shape out and a stencil to color the shape.
My ink blending was done using Distress Oxide inks in Twisted Citron, Mowed Lawn, Rustic Wilderness, and Forest Moss (leaves); Spun Sugar, Kitsch Flamingo, and Picked Raspberry as well as Squeezed Lemonade, Mustard Seed, and Wild Honey (flowers).
I did very simple ink blending – by combining several colors of ink to add color variation to the leaves. I also did the ink blending first and then stamped the black outline with Versafine Onyx Black ink.
To create the sentiments for my cards I used 2 stamp sets – the Butterfly Friends set, I white heat embossed the word “Friend” on black cardstock, and I paired it with the sentiments from the Simple Sentiments set.
I embellished my cards with Sparkling Clear sequins – I love these to add a pop of sparkle to my cards.
