CARD DETAILS
I decided to make a simple friendship card – one can never have too many of those. Since the image I was planning to use for my project was rather small, I made 4 Bar size card instead of A2 (I lately simply adore this smaller 4 Bar size for my cards).
I used my mini MISTI and stamped a girl using Hero Arts Intense Black ink onto white cardstock. I first stamped the top part of girl’s body, her face and later added legs making sure to leave some room for a sentiment. I opted not to use coordinating dies that come with this set, but instead cover missing part of her body with a sentiment panel.
I used Copic markers for my coloring and, as always, went with my go-to colors. I used pinks – RV14, RV13 and RV10, browns – E79, E37, E33 and skin tone colors E000 and E00; I also used R20 to add blush. I wanted to add some texture to her shirt, so I used a white gel pen and created a simple pattern.
After my coloring was done I masked her legs off and blended a bit of Soft Pool ink to add some color to the background. I heat embossed a sentiment (it reads “I’m Lucky To Have You As A Friend”) in white embossing powder onto black cardstock and foam mounted onto my panel. I also foam mounted the panel onto a 4 Bar card base (measures 3 1/2 x 4 7/8″) and added a few enamel dots using Nuvo Crystal Drops in Gloss White.
