Hello, all! As promised, sharing another project and a video tutorial using Simon’s STAMPtember(R) Altenew collaboration stamp set. Here’s a link to my first project in case you missed it.
I used different colors for this card and went with yellows, pinks and red. Love this combo! I started working on my card by die cutting a Birthday frame out of yellow cardstock on my Platinum machine.
I stamped the large flower using Hero Arts Pink to Red ombre ink pad and also Royal Red ink. I love to use ombre pads to stamp images like these! They give you a beautiful additional transition from light to dark. For the small flower I used Simon’s Duckling, Sunshine and Khaki colors. Turns out Khaki compliments these yellows beautifully! For the leaves I used Catikin, Willow and Khaki.
These stamps do not have matching dies, so I fussy cut these images using scissors. I also felt I needed to stamp a simple background, so I used the leaf cluster and stamped a leafy background using just 2 layers and two colors – Catkin and Khaki.
Because this background ended up being a bit too distracting, I die cut a panel out of vellum using Simon’s Stitched Rectangles. Using large foam adhesive squares from Scrapbook Adhesive I foam mounted the frame onto my vellum panel. Also adhered my flowers using foam squares and finally adhered the leaves using dual tip glue pen.
Once all of my elements were adhered onto vellum I added double sided adhesive using Scrapbook Adhesive Grand tape runner to the back of the vellum panel and adhered it onto my card base. I also added some natural twine and a few enamel dots to finish this card.
I am sharing a video tutorial showing how to make this card. You can watch it here or on Youtube:
