Simon Says Stamp | Hello Sunshine
Have you seen the new Splash of Color release from Simon? More juicy ink colors, more fabulous stamps and even more dies. Who can resist? I know I can’t, lol! My most favorite product from the new release is probably the Hello Sunshine Frame die. There are so many ways you can use it!
Like this project? Pin it and save for later!
For this card I’ve die cut the frame out of some white Marshmallow cardstock and colored it using Scuba ink. I did direct to paper and just dipped the die cut frame in the ink pad and colored it. I love the rich green-blue color I was able to achieve.
I also stamped a sunshine using a sun image from the My Sunshine stamp set in Duckling ink color and added a Summer dictionary insert from the Pool Play set using Sunshine ink. To create a little bit of dimension I foam mounted my colored frame on top of the stamped panel, added a bit of clear glitter onto the Hello part of the frame and also die cut the Flip Flop insert out of white cardstock and added on top.
To finish this panel I embellished it using several teal enamel dots and scattered them inside and outside the Hello frame. I think they fit perfectly here and remind me a little bit about drops of water.
To create some additional interest and add a bit more of that Scuba ink I used my favorite Wide Stripe background stamp and stamped it onto a strip of cardstock which I than added onto an A2 card base. Finally I adhered my stamped panel on top and finished making my card.
I have more projects to share using these goodies, so stay tuned! In the mean time I’m off to work on my next video. Have fun stamping!
