Hello, friends and happy-happy weekend! Today is Independence Day down here in Ukraine and thus our family is on a quick impromptu road trip to celebrate it. While I am away from my craft room, I do have a fresh project to share – created using Simon’s latest stamp set from the September Card Kit called Look For The Rainbows!

CARDS DETAILS
I wanted to create a simple, yet gorgeous background using simple stamping. No masking. No-fuss. I started by treating a panel of Soft Navy cardstock with anti-static powder and stamping the flower that’s lightest on the background in clear embossing ink. Next, alternating between other, smaller flowers and leaves I filled the background with beautiful imagery.
I quickly covered everything with Antique Gold embossing powder and heat set it with my heat tool to melt the powder. Results – gorgeous! You can never beat the look of gold embossing on dark paper.
To spice it up I used a dark blue Copic marker and colored all flowers but one using that dark blue. This helped differentiate the images from the background. For the largest central flower, I used a generous (and I mean VERY generous) amount of shimmer from the Tonic Shimmer Pen.
Finally, I white heat embossed a sentiment, added a strip of gold glitter cardstock and embellished it all with jewels from Tonic (included in September Kit). I love the way it turned out and that sentiment is so thoughtful, fitting for different occasions.
Do you like this look? Or do you prefer to use your outline images for coloring? Let me know!

Beautiful card 🙂
This is GORGEOUS, Yana!!! I DO LIKE this look! My worry is, the Copics with the embossing powder! BUT, I DO LOVE the look! Myself, I would probably color the images–water color. You NEVER leave us without something LOVELY to see here! HAPPY INDEPENDENCE DAY!!! And enjoy your time with your family!!! ;)<3
The background is wonderful–with the gold embossing, and just one flower highlighted…..this is very , very pretty. I love it, and hope you love it, too. 🙂
Your card is stunning. Love the rose gold with the different hues of blue.
Happy Independence Day!!!! Hope you have a good trip and enjoy the celebration!! Thanks for sharing this card. I’ve yet to try this idea … one day!!!
Beautiful card! Thank you for sharing the details.
This is gorgeous! I love the blue and gold. I will certainly try this. Thank you!
Absolutely beautiful card. Such an inspiration. I hope someday to make things that look even nearly as professional as yours do.
Stunning card!!!
Absolutely gorgeous. I agree about the gold embossing on dark paper. It really is stunning.
I love this. It is actually a nice change from coloring images, especially for folks who don’t feel entirely confident about coloring. Monochromatic and simple… the passwords of the times..! With your permission, I would like to use this as a jumping off spot for a project in the class I teach in our local community center. They would love it, too..!
Love the drama, Yana! I follow you on YouTube and love your style!
Very beautiful card! I love the colors and it seems so simple. I would never had thought of using red for the sentiment but it works perfectly. Thank you for sharing.
Your card is just beautiful. Thank you.
Oh wow, this is GORGEOUS Yana! Thanks for the inspiration!
