CARD DETAILS
End of Summer seems like the perfect time to sit under the starry sky! This is what Hero’s August kit is all about – galaxies, planets, stars and so on! I decided to create an encouragement card with “You Are Not Alone” sentiment.
I started working on this card by heat embossing the surface of the planet in white embossing powder onto black cardstock. I also heat embossed a planet and and astronaut onto a separate piece of black paper and cut both elements out. I colored everything using my Prismacolor pencils and foam mounted images onto the background. Next, I added stars using pencils a white gel pen.
I also heat embossed “Hello” directly onto the background panel and “You are not alone” onto black cardstock strip and foam mounted latter onto the card.
I used Nuvo Glaze and coated the astronaut’s helmet as well as the craters on the planet for a bit of additional interest.
