Altenew | October 2015 Dies and Inks Release Blog Hop + Giveaway
Hello, all and happy Friday! Thank you so much for stopping by today to help celebrate October Dies and Inks Release by Altenew. Get your credit cards ready, you’ll be wanting to get new dies, new inks and get crafty!
Altenew is releasing 12 new ink colors to help you stamp perfect images every time! Altenew inks work like magic with their stamp sets and help you create gorgeous layers for your cards! I create a card using new purples – I used all 4 colors along with the Wild Hibiscus stamp and matching dies.
First I stamped a subtle background for my card using Soft Lilac. I used a few images from the Wild Hibiscus set and alternated them to create a barely visible print on the card base. I used the other 3 colors of ink – Midnight Violet, Deep Iris and Lavender Fields to stamp other images from this set. I intentionally made some darker and some lighter for a beautiful monochromatic look.
All of my stamped images were die cut using matching dies. I foam mounted them onto my stamped card base by using Scrapbook Adhesive foam squares. I also added a beautiful Gold Timeless Frame and layered my florals in front and also behind the frame.
That sentiment was stamped using Midnight Violet ink color, I used a Many Thanks stamp set and stamped Thank you Forever Grateful. To finish this simple card I added several gold glitter enamel dots from Crate Paper’s After Dark pack.
