Welcome back to the 12 Days of Stitchmas Advent Calendar by Spellbinders. Day 9 serves up a festive cupcake with layered frosting, a stitched-option wrapper, and tiny holly accents. I went slightly nontraditional with color – deep green plus pink, then used gold to steer the design back into holiday territory. Not my favorite card, but oh well!

CARD DETAILS
This is not my favorite card. I struggled a bit while making it. Nonetheless, the cupcake is super cute! I used Midnight Green for the card base; Dahlia for the cupcake itself; Mirror Gold for the wrapper; Gold Glitter for holly leaves; and Brushed White and Wild Berry for the postage panel.
The sentiment “It’s the Most Wonderful Time of the Year” comes from my older BetterPress sentiment set. Finally, I used Green Color Essential Gems to embellish.
Day 9’s cupcake is a terrific focal: fast to assemble, easy to glam up with metallics, and perfect on a framed mini-scene. Stitched or not, it delivers instant holiday cheer. I’ll be back with Day 10 next.
