Simon Says Stamp | From All Of Us Blog Hop + Giveaway (now closed). Video
Hello all and thank you for joining us as we celebrate the new mini product release from Simon Says Stamp called From All Of Us. Yay!
There’s a fun giveaway at the bottom of this post, but before that I wanted to share a little bit about my favorite product from this launch – its the Jingle Snowflake. I think I have fallen in love with this one and at first I had no idea how to use it, but after I cut it the first time I was so desperately hooked, I’m telling you, lol!
Here’s a look at the card I made using the new goodies:
Like this project? Pin it and save for later!
Before cutting the Jingle Snowflake out of Gold Mirror Cardstock I first embossed it onto my pearlescent white cardstock panel. I wanted to create some additional dimension and interest for my project, so I went with embossing. You can emboss just about any die with the help of an embossing mat, its super easy to do (watch my video below to see how).
My cardstock cracked in a few spots, but its okay, I could have spritzed it with water to help the fibers of the paper move and prevent them from breaking and cracking, but I knew I’d be placing my gold die cut on top, so that didn’t bother me at all.
I also heat embossed a Happy Holidays from All of Us sentiment in gold embossing powder and added a gold Believe sticker from American Crafts, love how it tied everything together.
Here’s another card I made using the Jingle Snowflake die. I did an ink smooched background on watercolor paper using Distress inks and added my gold die cut on top:
I have a video tutorial showing you how to do the embossing and make the first card:
Like this video? Please give it a thumbs up and share with crafty friends. Thank you!

November 21, 2015Yana, What a great idea, to dry emboss the die and then place the die cutout on top. I like that idea a lot, especially for Holiday cards. It adds dimension to cards and I love adding dimension to my cards. Your card is very, very pretty and I like it a lot. TFS. Have a great day. 🙂
