Hello, crafty friends! I’m excited to share four brand new cards featuring the latest release from Suzanne Hue & Spellbinders — Texture & Foliage.
If you’ve been following me for a while, you might remember Suzanne’s Beautiful Wreath collection from last fall. This new release is both an expansion pack for that collection and a stand-alone set of gorgeous products that can take you from Christmas to Halloween, Thanksgiving, birthdays, and beyond.

CARD DETAILS
For all four cards, I challenged myself to use the same limited color palette — inspired by a DIY Color Deck card: Carrot, Dahlia, Wild Berry, Poppy, Midnight Green (Simon Says Stamp). Limiting my colors kept the look cohesive and let the textures and shapes shine.
Card 1 – Clean & Simple Wreath
I started with a simple wreath of die-cut leaves. Using Altenew inks in Mossy Meadow, Velvet, Rubellite, and Snapdragon, I blended extra depth onto the cardstock before arranging the leaves in a circle.
The sentiment, “To a Very Special Person,” is foiled in gold on dark green cardstock — one of my favorite tricks for BetterPress plates when working with darker backgrounds. A sprinkling of Green Essential Gems finishes it off.
Card 2 – Grid Layout
Same die-cuts, different approach! Instead of a wreath, I arranged the elements in a 4×3 grid with the sentiment at the bottom.
This is proof you don’t have to use these dies only for wreaths — they work beautifully in many layouts.
Card 3 – Holiday Joy
For this one, I mixed Suzanne’s Christmas foliage with my City Holiday “Joy” shadow die.
The holly leaves and berries tuck perfectly around the letters, and the bow from Suzanne’s previous collection ties everything together (literally!).
Card 4 – Christmas Crackers & Foliage
I embossed the background with one of the 3D folders for rich texture, then added two overlapping Christmas crackers from my City Holiday collection.
Clusters of foliage and berries frame the sentiment, “My Greatest Present is to Have You By My Side.”
