Simon Says Stamp | Teal & Red Christmas Card

Can you believe today is the first day of November? Somehow this always comes as a surprise to me, time goes by way too fast. Can we please slow down a bit? Today I have a simple teal & red Christmas card to share featuring some ink blending and heat embossing.

CARD DETAILS

I started to work on this card by masking 1/4″ off the edges of a Surf Blue cardstock panel. Next, using my MISTI stamping tool I stamped the Reindeer background in clear embossing ink, covered with white embossing powder and heat set with my heat tool. Keeping the masking tape in place I also ink blended the edges using first Simon’s Maliblue ink and later the Deep Sea ink.

Once the background was finished I adhered it to the A2 white side folding card base. Next, I white heat embossed “Merry” and “Christmas” on red cardstock and cut them out. I also white embossed several snowflakes on light blue cardstock and cut them out using coordinating dies.

Having arranged the elements on the card I adhered them using foam adhesive and embellished the project using sequins from the Star Spangled sequin mix.
