Hello, friends! I’ve been on a cardmaking spree these past few days. I love it when I feel inspired and can’t seem to put my supplies down.

CARD DETAILS

The card I have for you today features one of the abstract backgrounds I showcased in a video tutorial showing how to color with paper a couple of weeks ago. I love the new sentiments stamp set from Simon, the Greetings Mix, and used it to create a sentiment panel for this card.

I stamped “Just a card to say you’ve awesome” in black ink on white paper. Next, I added “Hi friend” heat embossed in Antique Gold on white. This latter comes from the Thanks and Encouragement Word Mix set.

To complete the panel, because I simply adore the Tropical Leaves stamp set I added a number of leaves stamped in Audrey Blue and High Dive as well as embossed in Antique Gold.

Lastly, I used the usual sequin + drops duo to finish the card.

Love the colors you used. I recently picked up one of Tim Holtz’s new colorized die sets for Christmas cards. it reminds me of your idea to use paper to color. You and he must be on the same wave length!!!!!!

The blue tones and that gold embossing is pretty awesome looking. All of these colors compliment each other and the card is stunning. Beautiful work Yana!

I Love, Love, Love this color combo! I need to get me these colors, and the wave, and foliage stamp, and the greeting set. I am glad you are inspired by these new releases. Really nice to enjoy your creations. Thanks for sharing.
