ONE COLOR COMBO FOR ALL
This month, I did something a little different — I challenged myself to use one color palette across all of my cards. It wasn’t intentional at first, but once I saw how beautifully the first project came together using this color combo, I was hooked. The combo was inspired by one of the cards from the DIY Color Deck — a tool I highly recommend for choosing colors with confidence.
Using the 60/30/10 rule (main color, secondary color, and accent), I built my palette around Ocean Side — which quickly became my “gallon” color. It’s such a gorgeous deep aqua, and it worked perfectly for the underwater theme. I added accents in Teal Topaz, Waterfall, Poppy, Carrot, and Saffron, and it gave all of my projects a bright, cohesive feel.
SMALL DIE OF THE MONTH – MY #1 FAVORITE!
Let’s start with the Small Die of the Month, which completely stole my heart this month. It includes a large coral piece, plus some amazing deep-sea diver dies with multiple layering pieces so you can customize their gear.

I used them on several cards and just love the detailed look they create. There’s also a coral-reef vibe to the whole die set that’s whimsical and easy to build scenes with.

LARGE DIE OF THE MONTH – PLASTIC BAGS, MERMAIDS & MORE
Next up is the Large Die of the Month — and it’s genius! This set includes a plastic bag die to hold your little fish. You can fill it with the small die fish or mix and match with the Bonus Item fish. You’ll also find a sandcastle, seaweed, an open clam with a pearl, and a mermaid — all with layering options for dimension.
The creativity you can pack into this die set is amazing. I used it across several cards to create mini underwater scenes.
BONUS ITEM – EXCLUSIVE FOR DELUXE CABOODLE MEMBERS
If you’re a Deluxe Caboodle Club subscriber, you’ll receive a monthly bonus item — and this month’s bonus die includes two adorable layered fish! One of them totally gives me Dory vibes and has layering pieces for stripes and background. I loved pairing them with air bubbles from the Large Die set.
3D & 2D EMBOSSING FOLDERS – TEXTURE HEAVEN
Both folders this month are standouts! The 3D folder adds gorgeous layered wave texture with fish. I used it behind a simple white arch die to give subtle depth to the card.

The 2D folder features underwater flora — perfect for minimalist backgrounds or clean designs.

BETTERPRESS OF THE MONTH – SCHOOL OF FISH REGISTRATION SET
This month’s BetterPress plate features a school of fish that can be aligned using the included registration guide. It also has three sentiments — my favorite is “Even little fish make big waves.” I used it on a card above and foiled it in gold. You can also foil these designs instead of pressing them.
GLIMMER OF THE MONTH – HOPE YOUR DAY SHIMMERS
This beautiful A2-sized background plate comes with two versatile sentiments: “Hope your day shimmers” and “Popping by to say hi”. I used mine with Opal foil for a tone-on-tone look, and while I had originally planned to use white foil, the opal gave a lovely soft shimmer that felt just right.
I absolutely loved using a single color combo across all of these cards — it made the process smoother and surprisingly fun. If you haven’t tried working with a limited palette, I highly recommend it!
