Simon Says Stamp | Simplistic Good Luck Card + Ways to Help

Simon Says Stamp | Simplistic Good Luck Card + Ways to Help

Good morning, friends. You might find it odd to see a blog post from me during these times. Cardmaking has always been my therapy and even more so now. It keeps my mind occupied with non-war thoughts. I haven’t been able to create anything since the war started, but I still have a few cards I made before the war and I’d like to share them.

If you want to help me and the people locally in my community, you can use my affiliate links when purchasing something crafty for yourself. Oles and I trying to help locally as best we can, purchasing and donating supplies for the local defense teams. If you are not in a place to help financially, you can help by spreading the word about what is happening in Ukraine.

Simon Says Stamp | Simplistic Good Luck Card + Ways to Help

This card has a fun story behind it – it was actually Oles’ idea. We were in my craft room, joking and having fun, and playing with the new supplies (he likes to join me in my craft room sometimes), he suggested using one of the pre-printed sentiment cards from Simon’s Reverse Lucky set and coloring each line using a pale color marker to create a rainbow (I thought it was a mad idea, but I tried it anyway and I loved the result).

I trimmed the colored panel to cut the white edges off and foam mounted onto an A2 card base. I also added a few green gems and called this card done.

Simon Says Stamp has many different pre-printed sentiment sets similar to what I used for this card, covering a wide variety of occasions. All you do is take a sheet and color it. Simple and easy and you have a unique card.

    1. Thank you, Yana, for sharing this information. I am not able to donate financially at this time or buy crafts, but I have been spreading the word, the information you provide and, of course, praying for you and for the people of Ukraine. Please do know that so much of the world is standing behind the people of Ukraine and pushing for the withdrawal of the Russians. Glory and honor to Ukraine. Sending hugs and love to you. Please do let us know what else you might need. I would be happy to do what I can and at the very least pass on the information.

    1. I hope you are managing to stay safe and that your family are safe too. I fear the worst is yet to come. My heart goes out to all of the people in Ukraine. I have so much respect now for your president. Unlike other leaders, he has not left the country, but is staying to fight knowing that he must be #1 target for Putin. I pray every night that the Russian army is defeated, that Kiev has not fallen and that Ukranian casualties are few. Stay safe pretty lady. I will donate to your personal Paypal account.
