Simon Says Stamp | Love You Valentine’s Day Card

Hello, friends! I have a new card to share today featuring new goodies from Simon Says Stamp’s new Love You More release. The postman finally delivered the box a few days ago and I was more than happy to dive in and craft!

CARD DETAILS

I started to work on this card by heat embossing a “You Are” background in clear embossing powder on Lipstick Red cardstock. I tried using several other colors of cardstock and embossing powders – I saved those backgrounds for future use. With the red background embossed I ink blended the edges with Red Royal ink from Hero Arts to add some interest. Next, I trimmed the background to 4 x 5 1/4″ and foam mounted onto A2 white side folding card base.

I love the stamp concept of the Love & Valentine’s Word Mix set – this large stamp set actually has only 2 stamps (stamp sections). Stamps are connected for ease of use when cutting them out with the help of coordinating dies. I heat embossed both parts of the stamp in Antique Gold embossing powder on white cardstock and cut out using dies.

I also cut out identical shapes from red cardstock. Next, I trimmed the white border around the “Love You” circle and foam mounted it onto a red die-cut. I did the same for the heart image.

Using foam adhesive I adhered everything in place and embellished this card using red sequins from the “Love You” sequin mix. Simple Valentine’s Day card is done!
