Hello there and welcome! CARDS DETAILS

I decided to make a few simple and silly cards to mail to my friends who have a nice sense of humor. I started by stamping images from the Merry Christmouse stamp set in Simon’s Intense Black Ink onto white paper. I used my mini MISTI stamp positioner as I wanted to double stamp them and have perfect black outlines.

I used a few colors of Copic markers are quickly colored these. The colors I used are:

After cutting my images out using coordinating dies I started working on my background. I used my regular size MISTI, Sea Glass cardstock panel and Diagonal Stripe 6×6 cling background stamp and heat embossed beautiful white stripes.

For my Naughty or Mice card I heat embossed sentiment in Simon’s Antique Gold embossing powder onto vellum, wrapped vellum around the panel and adhered it onto an A2 top folding card base. I also foam mounted my images and added some red and white bakers twine to finish the card.

For my Merry Christmouse card I cut a banner out of Schoolhouse Red cardstock, foam mounted it onto the heat embossed panel (I already had it adhered onto a card base) and foam mounted my images on top. I also stamped “Have A” in Lipstick Red ink onto a strip of cardstock and foam mounted over the sentiment. To hang the stockings I adhered little pieces of red and white twine.

Lastly, I added a generous amount of Star Dust glitter glue from Ranger and some clear Wink Of Stella glitter pen.

    1. “Naughty or Mice?” How cute is that?! Love your red with blue color scheme. Your coloring is wonderful

    1. Such cute cards. I’m falling in love more & more with this set To bad I’m unable to purchase this set as my cc has had much exercise the last 2 months

    1. I like the card with the red banner that one is beautiful, the other card is playful which I also like give the playfulness of the holidays.

    1. They are both so cute! I am not sure which one I like more…Thank you Yana!!

    1. I love making funny cards especially as little pick me ups for friends who just need a smile.

    1. I Love cute cards! I have young family members who would find this very cute!

    1. Such cute cards! I usually give my hand made cards to other crafters, so they seem to appreciate them, Family members love the funny ones, even if they aren’t crafters!

    1. Hi, I am new to card making so I have not made a funny card yet. But hopefully soon 🙂

    1. What wonderful cards! You are so talented. Thank you for sharing your talent with us.

    1. I like both cards, but my favorite is the one with the banner. Thank you for the great video!

    1. Cute cards! I don’t often make funny cards, and don’t have that many funny stamp sets (or sentiments), but for my niece and nephew, who are nearly 7 and 3, I try to go for cute/fun, if not exactly funny card designs. I do love puns, though, as do some of my friends, so I should really try to use that to my advantage.

    1. Funny and punny cards are my go-to kinds of card! We are not a “mushy card” family 🙂 So everyone knows they’re gonna get a corny card from me. No one has complained yet, haha. Your cards are great and I really like the fun sentiment! I enjoyed your video–thanks for the tip about wrapping the vellum and for sharing the color combos you used.

    1. I like making funny cards and I think my college aged daughters like receiving them.
