Simon Says Stamp | Another Tropical Thank You Card

Hello, friends! I seem to be in need of thank you cards so today I’m sharing another simple Thank You project made with new supplies from Simon’s Believe in You release. You can see my previous card using new Believe in You products HERE and HERE.

CARD DETAILS

I love the new Scallop Waves background stamp, and while it’s a nice one to use for sea-themed cards, to me it reminded of Art Deco style. The card I’m sharing here is certainly not done in the style of Art Deco, but I am looking forward to heat embossing this gorgeous background in gold on black or some similar colors to re-create the gorgeous Art Deco look.

To create this card, I white heat embossed Scalloped Waves background stamp on Hero Arts Peony cardstock. I love this elegant look. Next, I heat embossed “Thank You” in Antique Gold embossing powder on white and cut it out. After foam mounting it on the card I also embossed several leaves from the Tropical Leaves set (can you tell I’m loving this set?).

Finally, after adding the leaves I embellished card using sequins and Nuvo Drops in Morning Dew.
