Honey Bee Stamps | Interactive Wobbler Bee Card. Video + Birthday Bash Blog Hop
Let me just start by saying – bees don’t have to yellow. Yes, on paper bees can be any color you or me want them to be. Hence a green and a blue bee on my project today.
Okay, let’s start from the beginning. In this blog post and video I’m showing how to create a fun interactive wobbler card using stamps from Honey Bee! Whenever I use a wobbler on my cards my husband wants to keep them (the cards I mean, or even just the interactive part). And since we all know that boys love their toys it might be a great idea to use wobbler to make masculine cards super fun.

VIDEO TUTORIAL
As always, I filmed a video tutorial showing how to create this project from start to finish. I’m hoping you’ll enjoy it. Watch it below or on my Youtube channel.

CARD DETAILS
I started working on this card by stamping 2 giant bees from the Build A Bee stamp set from Honey Bee stamps. This stamp set is a fun one because it lets you create funny, silly, crazy, adorable or handsome bees. By offering a lot different parts and pieces it covers a lot of different occasions.
I used my mini MISTI stamp positioner and Simon’s Intense Black ink for stamping and later cut images out using coordinating dies in my Platinum machine. For my coloring I used a handful of Copic markers and as always I went with my go to Copic marker color combos.
Colors used:
- B00 and B000Â to color wings of my bees;
- C7, C5, C3 and C1 to color gray stripes
- YG99, YG95 and YG93 to color green stripes
- B05, B02 and B00 to color blue stripes.
- R20 to add blush and colorless blender to soften the blush.
I added googly eyes to my bees and used a white pigment pen to add details to their backs.
To create a background I used Nuvo Embellishment Mouse in Aquamarine and ink duster and blended the mouse onto the background. I love the shimmer of the mouse and also how easy it was to apply it onto the paper. To stamp a sentiment I used Versafine Onyx Black ink and stamped We Bee Long Together. I did use a heat tool (I forgot to mention this on video) to dry the ink so that it wouldn’t smear. Sentiment comes from Bee You Tiful stamp set and it really is a must have set. There are a lot of words that you can combine with the word bee or with an image of a bee to create unique sentiments.
I used a tiny wobbler to adhere one of the bees onto my card to make my project a bit more interactive. Lastly, I added strips of patterned paper and some drops using Nuvo Drops in Ivory Seashell and Morning Dew.

April 29, 2017Your ‘wobble’ bees are sheer delight, especially with their googly eyes (I’m relieved to know I wasn’t the only one who didn’t realize they were self-adhesive! Whew!). I bet your husband had fun with the wobbling action; hopefully, you’ll create one for him so he doesn’t feel left out! Your crafting friend will adore this, as do I, especially with the eye-catching palette you selected! As for your English…oh my, Yana, I could listen to you for hours (sometimes I do when I’ve fallen behind with your videos). Your pronunciations are spot-on! Indeed, you pronounce Tsukineko far better than I’ll ever do…and I speak Canadian *grin* Thank you for the amazing video…and the ‘enabling’!
