I’m using the Dream Catcher die from Spellbinders, its a new die released at the Winter CHA 2015. Its already available for purchase and you can find it online at Simon Says Stamp or Spellbinders.

I used the same basic technique for both of these cards – I die cut the dream catcher image out of white cardstock and colored it using alcohol based markers. I used only one Chameleon Bubblegum Marker for the pink card, I love the gradation of color I was able to achieve. I’ve already talked a bit about those markers in one of my previous videos, you can watch it here if you like.

I used several colors of Copic markers to color the dream catcher on the blue card. I don’t remember the exact colors I used as I made that card about a month ago, but I know I used 2 colors and a colorless blender. Both of these look beautiful and very quite easy to do.

As always, I’m sharing a video tutorial. You can watch it here or on my Youtube channel. If you are new here please remember to subscribe! I’m sharing new videos weekly.

There are many ways you can color your die cut images. You can ink them, use Distress markers, watercolor pencils or just watercolor. I chose Chameleon pens simply because I want to improve my coloring skills using these.

I also added several small die cut hearts using the Cascading Hearts from Spellbinders. Its a background die, you can use it to die cut backgrounds for A2 cards, but I only used it for the little hearts.

I added a bit of floss or string to each of the cards and also some sequins. The sentiments on both were stamped using Avery Elle stamps. I used the Get Well set for the pink one and Petals & Stems set for the blue one.

    1. Both cards are gorgeous, Yana! You made it so easy, but it would be definitely challenging for me to choose right patterned paper and place the sequins on the perfect position. I also love you partially colored your dream catcher with alcohol based markers. It turned out so cool!!!
