Video! Watercolor Map Backrgound Miss You Card | Hero Arts
This post is also available in Українською мовою
Hi everyone! I rarely make miss you cards. Usually, its either a Happy Birthday or a Thank You type cards that leave my craft table. But today I wanted to share something different. When I first saw this map background stamp from Basic Grey and Hero Arts I immediately thought about miss you cards.
A card like this it perfect for someone who moved to another city (to work or to study). Hence the map in the background and I Miss You so Much sentiment.
The map on this card was created of (or inspired by) actual travel maps, or google maps or a view you get from a window on a plane when flying above the city. I doubled my background to make it look like the map is folded too.
This is a very unusual card, but I just love it.
To create the background I used the City Map stamp from Basic Grey and Hero Arts form the 2nd City collection. I used a few colors of daubers from Hero Arts to watercolor my map (all colors are listed at the end of this post). I intentionally picked the colors that represent water, park (or residential area) and industrial area.
As always, I’m sharing a video tutorial to show you how I created this card from the beginning. You can watch it here or on Youtube.
