Hello, all! I’m sharing a blog post along with video tutorial on Altenew blog featuring masking technique and Beautiful Day stamp set.

I love this stamp set in particular because it allows me to create beautiful images that look like they’ve been expertly colored. While I do enjoy coloring using various mediums I’m not nearly good enough to color the flowers and leaves to look like they do on my project. So having a stamp set that does all the work for me is a huge plus.

I used a simple masking technique to create the background you see on this project. I started by stamping the “Friend” word from the Super Script Stamp Set and followed by stamping the outlines of my images.

Aside from the Super Script stamp set I also used the Oriental Orchid set to heat emboss a darling “You make my heart bloom” sentiment. I used Cotton Candy ink pad to color a strip of white white cardstock to match the colors on my stamped background.
