CARD DETAILS
The set features not one, but two ridiculously adorable reindeer, plus a mix of punny, cozy sentiments. I decided to shake things up and go non-traditional with my coloring – think pinks and teals instead of the classic red + green combo. I’m no Copic expert (raise your hand if you also just “wing it”), but simple coloring can be super effective, especially with an image as sweet as this one. I added teal for the scarf and hat, soft blush tones for the cheeks and nose, and warm browns for the body.
Pro tip: keep the stamp in your MISTI so you can restamp with a darker ink after coloring. It makes the outline pop and cleans up everything beautifully.
Here’s where the fun really happens – I popped my reindeer on an Action Wobbler. If you’ve never tried these, stop what you’re doing and add them to your cart. They’re basically spring-loaded happiness. Cards with wobblers always get the biggest smiles (and the most “oohs and ahhs” when gifted). Trust me, people will play with it nonstop.
To finish, I went for a snowy background using the Marshmallow Embellishment Mix from Simon Says Stamp. Instead of sprinkling just a few sequins, I went full blizzard – covering the background (with a little border around the edge for balance). The result? Sparkly, dimensional snow that looks magical and totally festive.
And here it is – my finished card! A wobbling, blushing, teal-scarf-wearing reindeer surrounded by glittery snowfall. Couldn’t be cuter if it tried. Let me know in the comments – do you love the full “embellishment-snow” look, or do you prefer just a few accents here and there? I’d love to hear!
