Welcome back to the 12 Days of Stitchmas Advent Calendar by Spellbinders. Day 8 reveals a classic knit hat with multiple stitched panels plus a “Snow Day” banner. True to the series so far, I kept this one unstitched – the pierced lines give plenty of texture on their own. I made a simple card anchored by a larger sentiment.

CARD DETAILS
Here’s a look at my card featuring Day 8. I went for a classic light blue + red color combo along with a large sentiment. I didn’t really have a sentiment in my stash that worked well with the image of a hat, so I used a generic holiday sentiment from my City Holiday collection. As always, I embellished the hat using foliage from my Christmas Cracker die set.
Day 8’s winter hat is quick to assemble and surprisingly versatile. The pierced lines give instant knit texture – no thread required, and the banner gives you an easy seasonal sentiment (snow day) when you want to keep the layout compact. I’ll be back with Day 9 next.
