Spellbinders | October Clubs – Small Die, Large Die, Glimmer and Clear Stamp Cards

This month Spellbinders has some absolutely fantastic Club product designs. The Card Kit is amazing (I shared 5 cards using it a few days ago) and so are the rest of their dies. My favorite? I can’t even pick a favorite, I think they are all amazing.

SPELLBINDERS CLUBS

The Spellbinders Club is a subscription program. There are 7 different Clubs to choose from, including several Value Club options, with the Total Package Club being the best value and including ALL 7 Clubs. OCTOBER 2021 CLEAR STAMP OF THE MONTH + COORDINATING DIE

I’m going to start by showing you the Clear Stamp and Die set (there is now a new Club option, not just the Clear Stamp but also a Clear Stamp + Coordinating Die). I highly recommend getting both the stamp & die.

The stamp set itself is very simple, it is just sentiments, but these sentiments are versatile and can be used all year round. I used the stamp set for nearly all of the Club cards I made for October.

Products used: October 2021 Clear Stamp + Coordinating Die, Autumn Leaves Dies, Nuvo Drops in Morning Dew

STEP BY STEP INSTRUCTIONS:

• Stamp “Sending” in Candied Apple Distress Oxide ink. Cover with Clear embossing powder. Heat set and cut out using a coordinating die. Die-cut 3 additional blank layers, glue them together to create a sturdy die-cut. Plan sentiment placement on the card front. Stamp “A Big Thank You” in VersaFine Onyx Black ink onto Spellbinders Barely Peach cardstock. Foam mount “Sending” on top.
• Die-cut Autumn Leaves from various colors of cardstock, foam mount onto the card filling the background in. Die-cut smaller leaves using dies from the Mini Fall Blooms set. Fill in any gaps.
• Adhere panel onto A2 white top folding card base.
• Add dew drops onto the leaves using Nuvo Drops in Morning Dew.

OCTOBER 2021 SMALL DIE OF THE MONTH

The Small Die of the Month is a harvest truck with several die-cut options to add inside the truck. You can make the truck a Fall, a Christmas, or a general theme (or tuck anything else inside using die-cuts you might already have in your stash).

For the card below I die-cut truck from pink, white and kraft cardstock to create a Fall harvest truck. I added die-cut pumpkins (part of the kit), I did some simple ink blending with Distress Oxide inks to add some shading and dimension to the pumpkins.

I also added bunting using the pennant dies from the Open House Thankful die set. The sentiment was created using the October’21 Clear Stamp of the Month + Coordinating die.

Here’s another card made with the truck – this time I turned it into a Christmas one by adding a Christmas tree and gift tucked inside. The truck was cut out from light blue cardstock, I added some ink blending at the bottom to add shading.

Once again I used the October’21 Clear stamp of the Month + coordinating die to create a sentiment. The main panel was cut to 3 3/4 x 5″ and foam mounted onto the kraft card base.

OCTOBER 2021 LARGE DIE OF THE MONTH

Now, wait until you see the Large Die of the Month for October. This set is mind-blowing. It is one that takes a long time to put together, but once you do – it is so worth it. Drumroll, please:

A fireplace! YES! And, one that is so gorgeous. This die set has a million pieces allowing for LOTS of customization. I made mine into a Christmas one, but it doesn’t have to be. You can pair it with the pumpkins from the Small Die and make a fall fireplace. You can place candles inside the fireplace instead of the fire and make it an everyday one. You can add gifts and make it a Birthday one. So many options.

This set also includes Santa’s legs and you can make them move. I didn’t do any of that for my card, as I wanted a more traditional card, but I did include Santa’s legs on my next project, just for fun:

OCTOBER 2021 GLIMMER HOT FOIL KIT OF THE MONTH

And finally, the Glimmer Kit. This one didn’t disappoint either. It is perfect for Autumn featuring a plethora of fall foliage. What’s new about these glimmer plates is the way they foil. Unlike previous designs with coordinating dies, these plates foil all the way up to the edge, leaving no white border. See for yourself:

This gives a very professional, polished look. I foiled the leaves on Simon’s 120lb cardstock and colored them with Copic markers.

Here’s another card with these plates – I went for an Autumn leaves pattern and simple foiled sentiment at the bottom of the card:

These look stunning against the dark red background, it certainly helps the colors pop. I added some green gems to the background to fill in the gaps.
