Hello, friends! Today I’m dishing up a small-but-mighty release: Spellbinders’ Buon Appetito collection. It’s foodie, it’s funny, and it practically stirs up ideas the moment you open the packages. Think pasta shapes with tiny faces, a bold 3D background, and a sentiment set packed with cheeky puns – aka everything you need for cards that make people grin.
Here’s one of the cards I have for you today – with meatballs and spaghetti!

CARD DETAILS
What’s on the menu, you ask? Two die sets – one with all the different pasta pieces (spaghetti, ravioli, macaroni etc) and one with the various ingredients (meatballs, tomatoes, onions, olives, basil, cheese). There are also supportive dies like a fork (yes!), plus arms/legs to turn ingredients into quirky characters.
There is also a 3D Embossing Folder: a large format folder for instant texture – perfect as a clean plate-style backdrop or a full card panel. And finally, the most important piece – Sentiment Stamps! Playful and curve-friendly (they’re clear!), so you can arc phrases along plates or trim words into captions.
Faves: “More spaghetti, less upsetting,” “Pasta la vista,” “Great friends finish each other’s pastas,” “Stay sassy, my friend.”
Next, let’s talk about all the various card ideas you can make using Buon Apetitto. Grid Samplers: Four mini “tastes” per card – mix pasta shapes with olives, basil, and a punny line.
Plate Designs: Die-cut simple circles/ovals to fake a plate, then tuck meatballs into spaghetti (make a tiny slit and slide them in).
Character Cards: Add arms, legs, and blushy cheeks – suddenly your cheese is running late for dinner.
Season to taste: Scatter small black (or very dark) gems as… pepper! A cute, textural “seasoning.”
