Hi friends! Today I have something extra festive (and extra fun!) to share — two brand-new advent calendars from Spellbinders for 2025. If you’ve followed me for a while, you know I’m a huge advent calendar fan. Crafty surprises + countdown = the best December tradition.

A LOOK BACK: CRAFTY HALLOWEEN ADVENT

Before we peek at the new boxes, let’s talk about the one that sold out in a flash — the 13 Days of Craft-O-Ween calendar. This one was insanely popular and disappeared the very day it went live. I filmed tutorials for 9 of the projects from that box (not all 13, but close!), and it was such a blast.

So yes… Spellbinders Advent calendars sell like hotcakes. Consider this your little warning.

CALENDAR #1: THE CRAFTY ADVENT CALENDAR

This is Spellbinders’ true advent calendar for cardmakers, featuring 24 little doors to open from December 1–24. Inside you’ll find a mix of:

Dies
Stamps
Stencils
Embossing folders
Embellishments

Think everyday designs (not Christmas-specific), which makes this one versatile beyond the holidays. The back of the box shows hints like postage-edge designs, fun sentiments, toast dies (yes, toast!), and even a dotted embossing folder.

Good to know: Last year, all the dies fit perfectly in the smaller Platinum Scout machine — so if you’re traveling, this calendar is suitcase-approved.

And the packaging? Gorgeous. When I opened it up, the inside was even prettier than the outside. Think floral patterns and rich colors — almost too beautiful to recycle.

CALENDAR #2: THE 12 DAYS OF STITCHMAS

If stitching on paper is your thing, this one is for you. Inside are 12 exclusive stitching dies — perfect for ornaments, tags, or festive cards. Unlike the Crafty calendar, Stitchmas is filled with Christmas-inspired designs. Expect things like a pudding, a nutcracker.

Schedule note: Spellbinders will start revealing the contents beginning September 23rd through October 4th on their YouTube channel.

Just like the Crafty calendar, the packaging is stunning, with vintage-style illustrations that you’ll want to save (I’m already dreaming about repurposing them into gift tags).

WHICH ONE IS FOR YOU?

The Crafty Advent Calendar: Perfect if you want a non-holiday surprise every day in December. Great for year-round crafting and a fab gift for beginners with a die-cutting machine.
The 12 Days of Stitchmas: A dream for anyone who loves stitching on paper and holiday crafting. Great for making keepsake ornaments, festive cards, or stitched décor.

Honestly? Both are fantastic. If you’re gifting one to a crafty friend, keep the other for yourself.

Spellbinders’ advent calendars have a history of selling out fast. The Craft-O-Ween one didn’t even last a day, and I wouldn’t be surprised if these fly too. If you’re eyeing them, don’t wait too long to add to cart.
