Hello, crafty friends! Welcome back for another Yippee for Yana video! Today on my craft desk, I’m playing with something that has completely stolen my holiday-cardmaking heart — the Simon Says Stamp Shiny Baubles Stamp & Die Set.
This set gives you gorgeous, vintage-style ornaments you can layer, mix, and match. They look dimensional and “real” without adding tons of bulk. Add in a little sparkle and it’s instant holiday magic.

CARD DETAILS
For this card, I reached for the Pawsitively Saturated Ink Trio 31 — Jade, Eucalyptus, and Juniper. And built a monochromatic green palette with touches of gold. (But honestly? This design would be gorgeous in reds, pinks, purples, or even a frosty teal.)
I stamped my ornament on Simon’s 130lb cardstock (my go-to for crisp stamping) and cut it out with the coordinating dies. Then I die-cut an inner window plus the topper from gold glitter cardstock and glued them on. The muted greens with gold glitter are chef’s kiss, but silver would be stunning, too.
Inside my ornament, I added a tiny Santa’s Village scene in black for a fun surprise. Layering the stamped piece over a solid sage ornament gave me instant depth and dimension.
For the background panel, I did tone-on-tone stamping — Eucalyptus ink on Sage cardstock to suggest a whole tree of ornaments without overwhelming my focal piece.
At the bottom, I stamped “Joy to the World” in black, then foam-mounted my main ornament for a little lift. Because let’s be real, dimension = instant wow factor.
To finish, I scattered Gold Pawsitively Dazzling Gems across the panel. The mix of sizes lets you cluster them like twinkle lights on a tree. A few tiny white gel-pen dots completed the snowy look without stealing the show.
Here it is — fresh, dimensional, and oh-so-sparkly. I love how the inks mellow as they dry, giving a soft vintage vibe.
