Simon Says Stamp | Rose Pattern Mother’s Day Card
Hello, friends. I hope your week is off to a great start. This weekend I had the pleasure to join many of my crafty friends for a virtual online retreat. I missed seeing all of their faces and it was really nice to connect and chat. Here’s a fun group photo we took as we chatted on Zoom:
I’m so glad there is technology available that allows us to connect no matter where in the world we are.
Today I have a floral pattern greeting card to share I made using several newer products from Simon Says Stamp – a gorgeous Spring Flowers 4 stamp set and Reverse Mom Days sentiment strips from the Sunny Days Ahead release.

CARD DETAILS
I started working on this card by creating a mask for the main image, a gorgeous rose. I stamped the image onto masking paper and cut it out using scissors. I do have a few step by step photos I snapped with my phone as I was working on this card, in case you are curious to see the process:
Once I had my mask ready, I started working on the pattern for my card. I stamped the image of the rose, masked it and stamped leaves. I repeated the process 3 times to create 3 clusters for this pattern. I used Simon’s Intense Black ink for stamping images.
Next, I pulled out my Copic markers to did some quick coloring. I first colored the leaves using YG03, YG17, G94 and G99 markers. Next, I used pinks to color the flowers: RV00, RV10, RV11, R83, and RV34.
With the coloring complete I used a rectangle die from Spellbinders and cut the panel down in my die cutting machine. At this point I also decided to add some foiling to the border and used Essential Glimmer Rectangles plates, also from Spellbinders, to add a triple dotted border around the panel. I used Polished Brass foil.
Once my panel was finished I foam mounted it onto an A2 white card base. I also added a Mother’s Day sentiment using Reverse Mom Days sentiment strips. I foam mounted the main sentiment and adhered secondary sentiment directly onto the card.
I finished this card by embellishing it using Metallic Gold Jewels from Pretty Pink Posh and subtle pink sequins from my stash.
