Simon Says Stamp | Minimalistic Stamping – Rainbow Friend

I am really into simple, minimalistic stamping lately. You know, the kind that was very popular about 5 years ago? I used Simon’s XL Greetings 2 stamp set for the word “Friend”. Can you guess what was used to make the rainbow behind it?

CARD DETAILS

I wanted to use something abstract, brush stroke-like to stamp the rainbow. The leaves from the Birthday Seedlings set worked perfectly for the job! I used a rainbow of Distress Oxide inks and stamped my rainbow. A few gems were added to complete the look. Easy peasy!

STEP BY STEP INSTRUCTIONS:

• Cut Neenah Solar White 80lb cardstock to 3 3/4″ x 5″.
• Stamp various leaf shapes from the Birthday Seedlings set in Distress Oxide inks creating a rainbow: Wild Honey, Mustard Seed, Twisted Citron, Mowed Lawn, Peacock Feathers, Salvaged Patina, Tumbled Glass, Broken China, Shaded Lilac, Wilted Violet, Seedless Preserves, Worn Lipstick, Picked Raspberry, Spun Sugar.
• Stamp “Friend” Simon’s XL Greetings 2 in VersaFine Onyx Black ink.
• Cut sub sentiment from  Simon’s Sunshine & Rainbows pre-printed sentiments set. Foam mount onto the panel. Foam mount panel onto A2 white top folding card base.
• Embellish with a rainbow of gems. I used Spellbinders gems in Gold Mix, Green, Teal, Pink.
