This one is all about cozy, timeless charm with the beautiful Warmth & Wonder stamp set from Simon Says Stamp.

CARD DETAILS
This 6×8 layering set is perfect for creating vintage-inspired holiday cards — especially if you love richly detailed designs and soft, traditional palettes. And because I can never resist a good slimline format, I decided to make a mini slimline card that feels both elegant and warm.
THE WARMTH & WONDER STAMP SET
This set includes five substantial layering images, beautifully designed for dimensional stamping. I paired it with a simple sentiment from the Tree Plate Greetings set — just a clean, one-line “Season’s Greetings” that anchors the design perfectly.
Each stamp is labeled for easy alignment, making the layering process incredibly smooth. I started with the sleigh, then moved on to the bow and floral clusters — the heart of this lush composition.
STAMPING THE SLEIGH
I used Cocoa Ink for the first sleigh layer to capture that rich, vintage wood tone. The second layer was stamped in Cranberry Ink, that perfect holiday red that instantly says “Christmas.”
💡 Quick tip: If your stamps are brand new, gently rub them with a pencil eraser before inking. It removes any residue from manufacturing and gives you clean, crisp impressions right away.
THE VERSATILE BOW
This bow might just become a new favorite! I stamped it using Eucalyptus (light green) and Juniper (dark green). These muted greens give the design a timeless holiday feel — but this bow could easily work for birthdays, weddings, or any elegant occasion.
CREATING THE FLORAL CLUSTERS
These florals remind me of soft winter anemones — graceful, delicate, and perfect for layering. Here’s how I built them:
- B2 layer: stamped in Pearfection Ink for the greenery.
- Added shading with Pine Ink using a small blending brush.
- B1 layer: stamped in Cranberry Ink for the petals.
- Added depth with Sangria Ink in the centers using light brush dabs.
- B3 layer: stamped the centers in Versa Clair Black, and berries in Sangria for a soft, traditional red.
You’ll need three floral clusters for this design. I love how the shading adds quiet depth without overpowering the card.
ASSEMBLY & DESIGN
Once all the elements were stamped, I used the coordinating dies to cut everything out. To add extra dimension, I cut a few blank layers and stacked them behind the sleigh and bow — one of my go-to tricks for stability and that subtle lift.
For the base, I chose Seafoam Cardstock, a soft, serene green that beautifully complements the red tones. My white panel (3.25″ × 6.25″) is foam-mounted on top to create a crisp frame that defines the mini slimline format.
The Tree Plate Greetings sentiment in black sits neatly along the bottom. I then arranged and foam-mounted the sleigh, bow, and florals, tucking a few pine sprigs (stamped in Eucalyptus and Juniper) behind the flowers for a lush, wintery finish.
Finally, a scattering of tiny stamped snowflakes adds that perfect hint of magic. I decided to skip gems or sequins this time — keeping it clean, classic, and timeless. But if you love sparkle, you could easily add a few for extra holiday shine!
