Simon Says Stamp | June Card Kit Inspiration. Take 3
Happy Saturday, friends! Today I have another take on the gorgeous Butterfly stamp set included in the Simon Says Stamp kit for June 2020.

CARD DETAILS
I had this idea to create an abstract background using my ink pads (the technique I teach in Spring Card Camp 2 class from Online Card Classes) and stamp butterflies all over it. I used several colors ink from Simon: High Dive, Audrey Blue, Deep Sea, Seafoam, Smoke. Instead of using white cardstock, I used Audrey Blue for my base, which made it all easier.
Next, I let the background dry (I used my Glimmer machine, it dries backgrounds in just 5-10 minutes) and once it was completely dry I stamped several butterflies and heat embossed them in Antique Gold embossing powder. I also stamped a few more butterflies in watermark ink to fill the background in.
I made a diagonal cut to make the background more it more interesting and foam mounted to the A2 white card base. Next, I heat embossed a sentiment, and foam mounted it over the cut. Lastly, I used several sequins from my stash to embellish this project.

May 30, 2020WOW! Stunning card with the gold embossing over the blue cardstock that you enhanced with your ink pads. Splitting the card panel into 2 separate pieces layered on the white base card really brings extra interest to your design.
