Simon Says Stamp | Ink Blended Snake Plant. Blog Hop + Giveaway + Sale!

Hello crafty friends! I’m delighted to join Simon Says Stamp for their Moments in Time Blog Hop. I am creating with 2 new products today – the Snake Plant stencil and coordinating die, and the I See You pre-printed sentiment strips.

CARD DETAILS

I started by ink blending the layers using various shades of green – Celery (this can be skipped), Limelicious, Field, and Pine. This was easy to blend and the image came together in no time.

Next, I used the coordinating die and cut the plant out. I also cut another blank layer from scrap cardstock and glued the two layers together to have a sturdier piece. Next, I used thin foam adhesive to foam mount this onto the card.

To create the background, I adhered a panel of Cotton Candy cardstock to the front of an A2 card base and cut another panel from Honey cardstock diagonally, and adhered it to create a color-blocked background.

For the sentiment, I cut the pre-printed strips out, used a black marker to color the edge of the cardstock, and foam mounted that over the plant. Lastly, I embellished the card using black enamel dots.
