Simon Says Stamp | Ink Blended Pencils. Pawsitively Saturated Ink Blog Hop + Giveaway + Sale!

Hello crafty friends! I’m delighted to join Simon Says Stamp for their Pawsitively Saturated Ink Blog Hop. It was a joy to spend some time in my craft room blending away with the fabulous Pawsitively Saturated Inks. These are among my fave inks on the market for both stamping and blending, as they do not stain stamps and stencils and clean up really well (pinks will have some staining, but very insignificant).

I created pencil ink blended cards featuring the Layered Pencils stencils (I’ve been eyeing this stencil set ever since it first came out), and I love the result! I hope will too! Scroll down for details.

CARD DETAILS

I created several panels using the Just Write Layered Pencils stencils – one with yellow pencils (not featured, but you can see it in the background on one or two photos, that was my test panel), one with yellow-green pencils (I love the ombre look), you can see it above and detail shots below; one with yellow-pink pencils and one more with green-teal pencils. The yellow colors, eraser and the metal part were done using the same colors on each panel. The yellow-green pencils used the following ink colors:

• Butter, Zest, Honey;
• Celery, Limelicious, Pearfection;
• Eraser – Bubblegum;
• Led and metal part – Earl, Charcoal.

The next card features the yellow-pink combo. I used the following pink colors:

• Carnation, Peony, Rose.

I also used the CZ Design You coordinating die to die-cut the big and bold YOU for each of my cards – I love the size of this die cut. I paired the “You” with the sentiments from the Just Write stamp set (it also coordinates with the pencils).

I embellished all my cards using enamel dots from Spellbinders, and I tried to match the colors of the dots to the background. I used the following dot sets:

• Black and White Enamel Dots;
• Two Tone Teal Enamel Dots;
• Two Tone Pink Enamel Dots.

Here’s a look at my final card for today. I did a little bit of shadow offsetting here to have a bit of gray peeking from behind the pink “you”. All the die-cut “you”s were cut from ink-blended cardstock. I used the same colors I did to ink blend the pencils to keep everything consistent.

Here are the teal colors used:

• Seafoam; Surf; Ocean.
