Simon Says Stamp | Delicate Pine Branches Embossed Christmas Card

I’m back with another card created with Simon Says Stamp’s new 3D Embossing Folders. I love how deep of an embossed impression I can get using these.  I went with the Delicate Pine Branches embossing folder to create this card.

CARD DETAILS

I started by stamping a sentiment in Versafine Onyx Black ink on Simon’s Sea Glass cardstock. Next, I embossed it in clear embossing powder to avoid smearing and leaving an impression inside my embossing folder. The sentiment is a composite using stamps from the Holiday Sparkle Greetings & Holiday Silhouettes.

Next, I dry embossed the panel using the Delicate Pine Branches embossing folder. To accentuate the branches I used white pigment ink and went direct to paper gently rubbing the pad across the raised areas. I trimmed the background to 4 x 5 1/4″ and foam mounted onto A2 white top folding card base.

I wanted to add a pop of red to this card and I did that using images from the Holiday Sprigs set, similar to what I did for this card.  Lastly, embellished the card with silver gems.
