Hello, crafty friends! Today I’m sharing a super fun ink-blended background technique using the Altenew Craft Your Life Project Kit: Floral Odyssey (focusing on the “map view” layering stencils + coordinating embossing folder). Think aerial photography meets cardmaking – trees, roads, rooftops, and pools all come to life with ink and texture!

Why is this kit so cool? The Floral Odyssey kit is like two ideas in one:
- Large florals + sentiments (with outline & sentiment dies), and
- An aerial “map view” 6-stencil set with a matching embossing folder that adds irresistible texture to the inked shapes.
I used the “map” stencils and folder for four cards and tried three different seasons of color (Fall + two Spring palettes). The stencils create a ~5.5″ square design – great for trimming into multiple A2 panels or spotlighting different parts for unique layouts.
